How to use horse oil

In general skin care, after cleansing the face, toner is applied and then oil or cream is blended in, but the order is different when using horse oil. After washing the face, apply horse oil and then blend in lotion. If toner is used after horse oil, it seems to bounce off and not penetrate. However, human skin easily blends with oil, so natural horse oil without emulsifiers will quickly blend into the pores first, leaving room for moisture to enter. The use of horse oil also increases the penetration rate of lotion, so apply a generous amount of lotion after horse oil.

■Horse oil can be used for warts on hands, nails, and fingertips.

Spread a thin layer of horse oil over the area. When using on fingertips, apply thoroughly. If you have washed your hands, it is recommended to spread horse oil with a little moisture remaining.

■It can also be used on dry knees, heels, elbows, and other parts of the body.

After taking a bath, apply horse oil with a little moisture remaining on the skin. After applying horse oil to heels, wear socks as they are very slippery.

■It can also be used as an anti-dandruff/itching scalp treatment or as a hair pack.

Wet your scalp and hair, apply horse oil to your scalp with the tips of your fingers, and massage into your scalp. After that, spread a thin layer over the entire hair, focusing on the ends. Brush your hair and wrap it in a steamed towel for 5 to 10 minutes before washing.

■Can also be used for babies and during pregnancy and lactation.

After bathing or changing a baby’s diaper, gently spread a thin layer of horse oil on the baby’s body. It can also be used to prevent stretch marks and as a nipple protection cream during lactation.
